Smart IBL - Universal Toolkit for Image Based Lighting

Settin up a scene with hdr images will cause lot of problems and it takes a little time.

noise, memory problems, shadow direction, sun light direction. At the starting point we have to blur out the hdr image for diffuse, use a jpeg file for reflection, and for lighting the scene use the hires hdr image... besides this we have to find the correct sun direction and shadow.

But This free Smart IBL toolkit combines everything with a simple .ibl script files and exports the data with .js file.

I've only used this toolkit with XSI - Arnold Renderer and mental Ray...and it worked realy good, fast and efficient.:)

Smart IBL is not a shader or render algorithm, it’s just an idea. It was designed as an open system, completely transparent to artists and developers - flexible enough to power an entire company pipeline, and portable enough to work in every 3d application. And most importantly, it's completely free.

LIMBO the game updates

it's been a lot of time that I didn't post anything but these updates about LIMBO game is really nice. New Playdead studios found and making the LIMBO game, and the trailers, gameplay videos and screenshots look really amazing.....well I think it is time that cinematique platform games are coming back with a lot of depth by the independent studios :) and this is really really good news.
